What is hydrogen bonding? Explain with an example.

Hydrogen bonding is a weak electrostatic force of attraction between a hydrogen atom covalently bonded to a highly electronegative atom (like N, O, or F) and another electronegative atom with a lone pair of electrons. An example is the hydrogen bond between water molecules (H-O...H-O), where the partial positive charge on hydrogen attracts the partial negative charge on oxygen.
Write a note on reduction and oxidation reactions with examples.
Answer
Oxidation is the gain of oxygen or loss of hydrogen/electrons, while reduction is the loss of oxygen or gain of hydrogen/electrons. For example, the oxidation of ethanol to acetaldehyde involves the loss of hydrogen, and the reduction of acetaldehyde to ethanol involves the gain of hydrogen.
