Answer PaperPaper Code: 113APMaximum Marks: 75Time: 3 Hours

Note: This question paper contains two parts A and B. Part A is compulsory which carries 25 marks. Answer all questions in Part A. Part B consists of 5 Units. Answer any one full question from each unit.

Part A

125 marks
a

Define Ohm’s law.

2 marks

Answer

Ohm's law states that the current flowing through a conductor between two points is directly proportional to the voltage across the two points, provided the temperature and other physical conditions remain constant.

V = I × R
b

Discuss about series resistive circuit with an example.

3 marks

Answer

A series resistive circuit is one where components are connected end-to-end such that the same current flows through each resistor. The total resistance is the sum of individual resistances.

Rtotal = R1 + R2 + ... + Rn

For example, if two resistors of 10 Ω and 20 Ω are connected in series, the total resistance is 30 Ω. The voltage drops across each resistor are proportional to their resistance values.
