The primary objectives of seasoning are to reduce the moisture content of wood to prevent shrinkage, warping, and cracking, and to increase its strength, durability, and resistance to decay and insect attack.
Define dressing of stone and quarrying.

Quarrying is the process of extracting natural stone from its natural rock bed. Dressing of stone is the process of giving a proper shape and size to the rough blocks of stone obtained from the quarry to make them suitable for construction.
