JNTU B.Tech IV ELECTRONIC MEASURING INSTRUMENTS Previous Question Paper (June - 2024 - R16)
Question paper consists of Part A, Part B.
Part A is compulsory, which carries 25 marks. In Part A, Answer all questions.
In Part B, Answer any one question from each unit. Each question carries 10 marks and may have a, b as sub questions.
Part A
Explain the process of calibration.
Answer
Calibration is the process of comparing the readings of an instrument under test against a standard instrument of known accuracy. It ensures the measurement device provides reliable results by identifying and quantifying any deviation or error, allowing for necessary adjustments or corrections.
Define sensitivity. Calculate the sensitivity of a 200 μA meter movement which is to be used as a dc voltmeter.
Answer
Sensitivity is defined as the ratio of the change in output to the change in input, often expressed in ohms per volt (Ω/V) for voltmeters. It is the reciprocal of the full-scale deflection current (Ifsd).
