JNTU B.Tech III OBJECT ORIENTED PROGRAMMING THROUGH JAVA Previous Question Paper (April - 2018 - R15)
Part A is compulsory. Part B consists of 5 Units. Answer any one full question from each unit.
Part A
Define the terms method overriding and overloading.
Answer
Method Overloading occurs when multiple methods in the same class have the same name but different parameter lists (different number or type of arguments). Method Overriding occurs when a subclass provides a specific implementation for a method that is already defined in its superclass, maintaining the same method signature.
Discuss briefly about abstraction and encapsulation.
Answer
Abstraction is the process of hiding complex implementation details and showing only the essential features of an object to the user. Encapsulation is the mechanism of wrapping data (variables) and the code acting on the data (methods) together as a single unit, typically by making data members private and providing public getter and setter methods.
