JAWAHARLAL NEHRU TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY HYDERABAD B.Tech III VIRTUAL INSTRUMENTATION Previous Question Paper (February - 2023 - R16)

B.Tech | III | II | R16 | February - 2023

Answer PaperPaper Code: 136EGMaximum Marks: 75Time: 3 hours

Note: i) Question paper consists of Part A, Part B. ii) Part A is compulsory, which carries 25 marks. In Part A, Answer all questions. iii) In Part B, Answer any one question from each unit. Each question carries 10 marks and may have a, b as sub questions.

Part A

125 marks
a

What are real systems and give some examples?

2 marks

Answer

A real-time system is a computing system where the correctness of the operation depends not only on the logical result but also on the time at which the result is produced. Examples include flight control systems, medical monitoring devices, and automotive anti-lock braking systems (ABS).

b

Explain data flow techniques in VI programming.

3 marks

Answer

Data flow programming is a model where the execution of a function or node is determined by the availability of its input data. In Virtual Instrumentation, a node executes only when all its required inputs are present, and it passes data to subsequent nodes upon completion. This eliminates the need for sequential line-by-line instruction execution, allowing for inherent parallelism.

c

Write about formal nodes with examples.
