JNTU B.Tech II ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT ANALYSIS Previous Question Paper (April - 2018 - R15)
This question paper contains two parts A and B. Part A is compulsory. Part B consists of 5 Units. Answer any one full question from each unit.
Part A
Draw the circuit diagram of Darlington Pair.
Answer
A Darlington pair consists of two cascaded emitter followers where the emitter of the first transistor is directly connected to the base of the second transistor. The collectors are tied together.
What is the expression for harmonic distortion in single stage amplifiers?
Answer
Harmonic distortion (D) is defined as the ratio of the amplitude of the harmonic component to the amplitude of the fundamental component. For a single stage amplifier with output current i = I_0 + I_1 cos(ωt) + I_2 cos(2ωt) + ..., the total harmonic distortion is:
where D_n = |I_n / I_1|.
