JNTU B.Tech IV CELLULAR AND MOBILE COMMUNICATIONS Previous Question Paper (May - 2019 - R15)
Note: This question paper contains two parts A and B. Part A is compulsory which carries 25 marks. Answer all questions in Part A. Part B consists of 5 Units. Answer any one full question from each unit. Each question carries 10 marks and may have a, b, c as sub questions.
Part A
Define coherent bandwidth.
Answer
Coherent bandwidth is the range of frequencies over which the channel's transfer function is approximately constant, meaning all frequency components of a signal experience the same amplitude and phase shift. It is inversely proportional to the root mean square delay spread of the channel.
What is the frequency reuse?
Answer
Frequency reuse is the technique of using the same set of radio frequencies in different geographical areas (cells) that are separated by a sufficient distance. This allows the same spectrum to be utilized multiple times across a network, significantly increasing system capacity and spectral efficiency.
