JavaScript provides several primitive data types that represent single, immutable values. These include:

• String: Represents a sequence of characters used for text, enclosed in single or double quotes.
• Number: Represents both integer and floating-point numbers. JavaScript uses the IEEE 754 double-precision format.
• BigInt: Used for representing integers larger than the maximum safe integer limit (2^53 - 1).
• Boolean: Represents logical entities with two possible values: true or false.
• Undefined: A variable that has been declared but has not yet been assigned a value automatically holds this type.
• Null: Represents the intentional absence of any object value. It is a primitive, though typeof null returns 'object' due to a historical bug.
• Symbol: Introduced in ES6, it creates unique, immutable identifiers that can be used as object property keys to avoid naming collisions.
