MIDP (Mobile Information Device Profile) is a Java specification that provides a standard runtime environment for mobile devices, defining APIs for UI, networking, and persistence. PDAP (Personal Digital Assistant Profile) was an extension to MIDP designed to provide additional functionality for PDA-class devices, such as contact management and calendar access.
