JAWAHARLAL NEHRU TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY HYDERABAD B.Tech II ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING Previous Question Paper (April/May - 2018 - R13)
Note: This question paper contains two parts A and B. Part A is compulsory which carries 25 marks. Answer all questions in Part A. Part B consists of 5 Units. Answer any one full question from each unit. Each question carries 10 marks and may have a, b, c as sub questions.
PART- A
Define KCL.
Answer
Kirchhoff's Current Law (KCL) states that the algebraic sum of currents entering or leaving a node (or junction) in an electrical circuit is zero. Mathematically, it is expressed as ΣI = 0.
Discuss about parallel resistive circuit with an example.
Answer
A parallel resistive circuit is one where multiple resistors are connected across the same two nodes, ensuring the same voltage is applied across each resistor. The total resistance Rt is given by 1/Rt = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + ... + 1/Rn. For example, if two 10 Ω resistors are in parallel, the total resistance is 5 Ω.
