JNTU B.Tech II ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING Previous Question Paper (April/May - 2023 - R16)
Part A is compulsory, which carries 25 marks. In Part A, Answer all questions. In Part B, Answer any one question from each unit. Each question carries 10 marks and may have a, b as sub questions.
Part A
What is Kirchhoff’s current law?
Answer
Kirchhoff's Current Law (KCL) states that the algebraic sum of currents meeting at any junction or node in an electrical circuit is zero. Alternatively, the sum of currents entering a node is equal to the sum of currents leaving that node, representing the principle of conservation of charge.
Enumerate advantages of Moving Iron instrument.
Answer
- The instruments are robust and inexpensive due to simple construction.
- They can be used for both AC and DC measurements.
- They have a high torque-to-weight ratio, which reduces the effect of friction.
