JNTU B.Tech III MOTION CONTROL DESIGN Previous Question Paper (July - 2023 - R16)
Note: i) Question paper consists of Part A, Part B.
ii) Part A is compulsory, which carries 25 marks. In Part A, Answer all questions.
iii) In Part B, Answer any one question from each unit. Each question carries 10 marks and may have a, b as sub questions.
Part A
What is Primary level mechatronics?
Answer
Primary level mechatronics refers to the integration of mechanical engineering with basic electronics and electrical components, such as sensors and actuators, to improve the performance of a mechanical system without complex software or intelligent control.
Mechatronics is the “synergistic integration of mechanical engineering with electronics and intelligent control algorithms in the design and manufacture of products process”. Justify the statement.
Answer
This statement is justified because modern products require more than just mechanical structure. The synergy allows mechanical systems to achieve higher precision and flexibility through electronic sensing and software-based control, turning passive machines into active, intelligent systems capable of self-optimization and complex task execution.
