The primary steelmaking furnaces are the Basic Oxygen Furnace (BOF/LD converter), Electric Arc Furnace (EAF), and Open Hearth Furnace (OHF). The raw materials used include hot metal (molten pig iron), steel scrap, fluxes (lime, dolomite, fluorspar), iron ore, and ferro-alloys.
Name various Integrated and Mini Steel Plants in India.

Integrated Steel Plants in India include SAIL plants at Bhilai, Bokaro, Rourkela, Durgapur, and Burnpur, as well as TATA Steel (Jamshedpur) and RINL (Visakhapatnam). Mini Steel Plants (Secondary steel producers) include companies like Jindal Stainless, Kalyani Steel, and various regional induction furnace-based units.
