JNTU B.Tech II ELECTRONIC CIRCUITS Previous Question Paper (February - 2024 - R13)
Note: i) Question paper consists of Part A, Part B. ii) Part A is compulsory, which carries 25 marks. In Part A, answer all questions. iii) In Part B, Answer any one question from each unit. Each question carries 10 marks and may have a, b as sub questions.
Part A
What are the different types of amplifier circuits?
Answer
Amplifier circuits are primarily classified based on the frequency range (Audio, Radio, Video), the coupling method (RC-coupled, Transformer-coupled, Direct-coupled), the operating point (Class A, B, AB, C), and the configuration (Common Emitter, Common Base, Common Collector).
What is mean by distortion in amplifiers? List out different types of it.
Answer
Distortion is the unwanted change in the output signal waveform compared to the input signal. The primary types are: 1) Non-linear distortion (due to non-linear characteristics of active devices), 2) Frequency distortion (unequal amplification of different frequencies), and 3) Phase distortion (unequal phase shifts for different frequency components).
