JAWAHARLAL NEHRU TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY HYDERABAD B.Tech III POWER SYSTEMS - II Previous Question Paper (May/June - 2019 - R16)
Part A is compulsory which carries 25 marks. Answer all questions in Part A. Part B consists of 5 Units. Answer any one full question from each unit.
Part A
What are the properties of conducting material.
Answer
A good conducting material must possess high electrical conductivity, high tensile strength to withstand mechanical stresses, low temperature coefficient of resistance, and high resistance to corrosion. Additionally, it should be ductile, flexible, and cost-effective.
What is the need of double circuit transmission line?
Answer
A double circuit transmission line is used to increase the reliability of power supply. If one circuit fails or requires maintenance, the other circuit can continue to transmit power, thereby preventing total interruption of service and improving system stability.
How do you classify the transmission line is to short, medium and long lines.
