JNTU B.Tech II SIGNALS AND SYSTEMS Previous Question Paper (February - 2024 - R22)
Note: This question paper contains two parts A and B. i) Part- A for 10 marks, ii) Part - B for 50 marks. Part-A is a compulsory question which consists of ten sub-questions from all units carrying equal marks. Part-B consists of ten questions (numbered from 2 to 11) carrying 10 marks each. From each unit, there are two questions and the student should answer one of them. Hence, the student should answer five questions from Part-B.
PART - A
State the two properties of unit impulse function.
Answer
The two properties are: 1) Sifting property: ∫ x(t)δ(t-t0) dt = x(t0), and 2) Scaling property: δ(at) = (1/|a|)δ(t).
State and explain the Dirichlet’s conditions.
Answer
Dirichlet’s conditions for the existence of Fourier series are: 1) x(t) must be absolutely integrable over one period, 2) x(t) must have a finite number of maxima and minima within one period, and 3) x(t) must have a finite number of discontinuities within one period.
