JNTU B.Tech IV TELEMETRY AND TELECONTROL Previous Question Paper (May/June - 2019 - R15)
Part A is compulsory which carries 25 marks. Answer all questions in Part A. Part B consists of 5 Units. Answer any one full question from each unit. Each question carries 10 marks.
Part A
What is the importance of pulse telemetry systems?
Answer
Pulse telemetry systems are important because they allow for the transmission of multiple signals over a single communication channel using time-division multiplexing (TDM). They provide high noise immunity and improved signal-to-noise ratios compared to analog continuous-wave systems.
Draw the flapper –nozzle telemetry scheme and explain.
Answer
The flapper-nozzle system consists of a nozzle supplied with constant air pressure and a flapper positioned close to the nozzle tip. As the flapper moves due to a measured variable, it restricts the air flow, causing a change in back-pressure within the nozzle line. This pressure variation acts as the pneumatic telemetry signal representing the measured parameter.
