JNTU B.Tech III GEO INFORMATICS Previous Question Paper (May - 2019 - R16)
Note: This question paper contains two parts A and B. Part A is compulsory which carries 25 marks. Answer all questions in Part A. Part B consists of 5 Units. Answer any one full question from each unit. Each question carries 10 marks and may have a, b, c as sub questions.
PART - A
What is meant by Focal length of lens in aerial photography?
Answer
The focal length of an aerial camera lens is the distance measured along the optical axis from the rear nodal point of the lens to the plane of the image (the focal plane). It is a critical parameter that determines the field of view and the scale of the resulting aerial photograph.
How many minimum numbers of photographs are required for Stereo Photogrammetry?
Answer
A minimum of two overlapping photographs, known as a stereopair, is required for stereo photogrammetry. These images must be taken from two different exposure stations with sufficient overlap (typically 60%) to provide the parallax necessary for 3D depth perception.
