Answer PaperPaper Code: 134AWMaximum Marks: 75Time: 3 Hours

Part A is compulsory which carries 25 marks. Answer all questions in Part A. Part B consists of 5 Units. Answer any one full question from each unit. Each question carries 10 marks.

Part A

125 marks
a

Write the statements of KVL and KCL.

2 marks

Answer

Kirchhoff's Current Law (KCL) states that the algebraic sum of currents meeting at any junction or node in an electrical circuit is zero. Kirchhoff's Voltage Law (KVL) states that the algebraic sum of all voltages around any closed loop in a circuit is zero.

b

Define self inductance and mutual inductance.

3 marks

Answer

Self-inductance is the property of a coil by which it opposes any change in the current flowing through it by inducing an EMF in itself. Mutual inductance is the property by which a change in current in one coil induces an EMF in a neighboring coil due to the linkage of magnetic flux.

c
