JAWAHARLAL NEHRU TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY HYDERABAD MCA 2018 OBJECT ORIENTED ANALYSIS AND DESIGN USING UML Previous Question Paper (January - 2018 - R15)
Note: This question paper contains two parts A and B. Part A is compulsory which carries 25 marks. Answer all questions in Part A. Part B consists of 5 Units. Answer any one full question from each unit. Each question carries 10 marks and may have a, b, c as sub questions.
Part A
Define OOAD? Mention the properties of OOAD.
Answer
Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) is a software engineering approach that models a system as a collection of interacting objects, where each object represents an instance of a class. Analysis focuses on understanding the requirements and defining the system's behavior, while Design focuses on the logical architecture and implementation strategy.
The fundamental properties of OOAD include:
- Abstraction: Hiding complex implementation details and exposing only essential features.
- Encapsulation: Bundling data and methods together and restricting direct access to internal components.
- Inheritance: Creating new classes from existing ones to promote code reusability.
- Polymorphism: Allowing objects of different classes to be treated as objects of a common superclass, enabling different behaviors through the same interface.
Name all types of OOAD diagrams.
