Interleaved video stores audio and video data in alternating segments to ensure synchronized playback. Advantages: It allows for streaming from slow storage devices by preventing buffer underruns, as the player can process small chunks of data sequentially. Disadvantages: It increases the complexity of file management and editing, as the data is not stored in contiguous blocks, which can lead to higher overhead during random access or seeking operations.
