JNTU B.Tech II TRANSDUCTION OF PHYSICAL VARIABLES Previous Question Paper (November/December - 2017 - R13)
Part A is compulsory which carries 25 marks. Answer all questions in Part A. Part B consists of 5 Units. Answer any one full question from each unit. Each question carries 10 marks.
Part A
Define Variable manipulation element in an instrument. Give example.
Answer
A Variable manipulation element is a component in an instrumentation system that changes the form or magnitude of a signal to make it suitable for further processing or transmission without altering the information content. An example is an amplifier, which increases the magnitude of a low-level voltage signal.
Draw the block diagram of the method of high gain feedback type of correction for interfering and modifying inputs.
Answer
The high gain feedback correction system uses a high-gain amplifier in the forward path and a feedback element to minimize the effect of interfering and modifying inputs. The block diagram consists of an input signal entering a summing junction, followed by a high-gain amplifier, a feedback element returning the output to the summing junction, and the process element.
